Anne McLaren, D.Phil, worked for both the Agricultural Research Council and then the Medical Research Council, using the mouse as an animal model. Her research included reproductive biology, developmental biology and genetics, for which she was nationally and internationally recognized. Sadly, Professor Dame Anne McLaren passed away aged 80 in 2007.
