Stephen Grainger is Managing Director (Asia) at Global Education Pathways, an educational consultancy in Western Australia. Dr. Grainger completed a Bach. App. Sc. in Mathematics at Curtin University of Technology before completing his PhD on 'Organisational Guanxi in south-west China: the Roaring Dragon Hotel'. His research interest is in guanxi and how this phenomenon is affecting the newly emerging hotel chains in China. His publications include a book on Organisation Guanxi and a collection of book chapters, case studies and journal articles. In recent years he has become an industry specialist on case studies in China and Asia with three of his cases recently published in the Harvard Business Review.
