Dr. Sakis Mantalaris joined the department in 2000 as a Lecturer. Dr. Mantalaris received his BSc (Hons) degree in Biochemistry from the University of Western Ontario, Canada, in 1991, and his MSc and PhD degrees from the University of Rochester, in the USA, specializing in engineering of ex vivo human... read morebone marrow. His research interests are in the exciting areas of tissue engineering and mammalian cell biotechnology, with particular emphasis on using bio-reactors to produce functional human bone marrow and optimal growth of mammalian cell culture systems.
