Biography

Wendy Evans is Head of Library and Data Protection and Freedom of Information Officer at the University College Plymouth St Mark & St John (UCP Marjon). She is a graduate of the University of Central England (BA Hons Librarianship and Information Studies) and is a Chartered member of the Chartered... read moreInstitute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP). Previous roles include Customer Services Manager for a commercial book supplier, Assistant Librarian (Information Technology) and Librarian at UCP Marjon. She has a keen interest in the Internet and electronic resources and in particular access to journals and databases. Mrs. Evans has published, lectured and researched in the field of electronic journal and database usage and also access versus ownership of journals. She has co-authored and edited Digital Library Economics: an Academic Perspective; Libraries and Society: Role, Responsibility and Future in an Age of Change and Trends, Discovery and People in the Digital Age and is currently working on A Handbook of Digital Library Economics, due to be published by Chandos Publishing during 2012. Wendy has recently been awarded an Associate Teaching Fellowship of UCP Marjon.
