Karl Herholz studied physics and medicine at the University of Erlangen, Germany, and has since worked on brain PET for more than 20 years at the Max-Planck Institute for Neurological Research and as a neurological consultant at the University Hospital in Cologne, Germany. He is coordinator of the European ''Network... read morefor Efficiency and Standardisation of Dementia Diagnosis (NEST-DD)'' that created a comprehensive PET and clinical central digital database of more than 1000 subjects. He moved to Manchester in April 2005 and is now leading the neuroscience program at the Wolfson Molecular Imaging Centre.
