Biography

Bobby Banerjee is Professor of Management and Associate Dean of Research at the College of Business. He received his PhD from the University of Massachusetts and has taught there as well as at the University of Wollongong where he headed the PhD program, at RMIT University where he was Director... read moreof the DBA program and at the University of South Australia where he was Director of Research at the International Graduate School of Business. He has taught a variety of courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels including Philosophy of Science, Research Methods, Corporate Strategy, Competitive Strategy, International Business, International Marketing, Marketing Research and Principles of Marketing. Professor Banerjee's main research interests are in the areas of sustainability, climate change strategies and policies; corporate social responsibility, critical management studies, post-colonialism and Indigenous ecology. He has published more than 100 articles, book chapters and conference papers and has been awarded more than 30 research grant including Australian Research Council Discovery and Linkage grants. His work has appeared in leading international journals such as Journal of Marketing; Organization Studies; Journal of Management Studies; Business Ethics Quarterly; Advances in Consumer Research; Journal of Advertising; Australian Journal of Management; Media, Culture & Society; Human Relation; Social Semiotics; and Journal of Business Research among others. He is the author of two books: 'Corporate Social Responsibility: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly' and the co-edited 'Organizations, Markets and Imperial Formations: Towards an Anthropology of Globalization' both published by Edward Elgar. He is a Senior Editor of Organization Studies.
