Luca Scorrano is Group Leader at the Venetian Institute of Molecular Medicine in Padova and Assistant Telethon Scientist of the Dulbecco-Telethon Institute. In 2002 he discovered the so-called cristae remodeling pathway of apoptosis. His laboratory explores the mechanisms and consequences of mitochondrial shape changes during life and death of a cell.
