Grant Hatch is Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Department of Biochemistry and Medical Genetics, Centre on Aging, University of Manitoba. He is Director of the Lipid, Lipoprotein and Atherosclerosis Research Group and is a Member of the Centre for Research and Treatment of Atherosclerosis. Dr. Hatch's main research interests include examining the regulation of the metabolism of the polyglycerophospholipid bis-(1,2-diacyl-sn-glycero-3-phospho)-1',3'-sn-glycerol (or cardiolipin, Abbreviated CL). Specifically he is studying the regulation of CL biosynthesis and remodeling in the heart and in mammalian tissues and cells.
