Ruth Rettie is a Reader in the School of Strategy, Marketing and Entrepreneurship at Kingston University. Trained as a philosopher (MA, B Litt, B Phil, Oxon), Ruth has an MBA and a PhD in sociology. Her research is inter-disciplinary, and includes social theory, internet marketing, the influence of technological design on social interaction, and sustainability. She has many publications in sociology, psychology, HCI and management journals. Ruth is principal investigator of CHARM, a major EPSRC funded project that aims to develop, evaluate and understand the role of digital technology in shaping pro-environmental behavior.
