Biography

Neeraj is Arthur C. Nielsen, Jr. Professor of Marketing Research at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he also serves as the Executive Director of the A.C. Nielsen Center for Marketing Research. Neeraj has an undergraduate degree in engineering from Delhi University, an MBA and PhD from The Ohio State University.... read moreHis research focuses on business problems that require econometric modeling of individual or group behavior. Most of this research builds upon psychological and microeconomic models of consumer choice that rely on experiments and Bayesian statistics. He serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Marketing Research and Marketing Science. His papers have appeared in the Journal of Marketing Research, Marketing Science, Journal of Consumer Research, International Journal of Research in Marketing and Marketing Letters. Neeraj regularly presents his research at marketing conferences and has been associated with industry projects relating to customer needs assessment, market segmentation, new product design, joint decision making and CRM. His teaching interests include marketing strategy, marketing research and mathematical models of consumer behavior. Prior to entering academia, Neeraj has worked as a marketing executive in the computer industry.
