Peter Enderwick is Professor of International Business and Head of Department at Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand. He holds a BA (Hons) in Economics from the University of Lancaster and MBA and PhD from Bradford Management Centre in England. He has been an educator since 1978. He has held visiting positions at the University of Bradford Management Centre and the Helsinki School of Economics and Business, Finland, the University of South Australia, Adelaide and Thammasat Business School, Bangkok. He is currently a visiting professor at the Centre for International Business, University of Leeds, in the UK. He has taught in many parts of Asia including Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand and China. He is academic consultant in international business to the Open University of Hong Kong. He has taught at every level from first year undergraduate to PhD and DBA programmes, and also has extensive experience with executive education. Prof. Enderwick's research interests are in globalization and labour, service sector multinationals, large emerging markets, particularly China and India, and the competitiveness of small, open economies. He is the author of eight books and numerous book chapters and articles in professional journals. His latest book, Understanding Emerging Markets was published by Routledge. He serves on the editorial boards of a number of journals including the International Business Review. He has undertaken consultancy for the United Nations, the American Chamber of Commerce in New Zealand and the New Zealand Treasury. He is a member of the Academy of International Business and a founding member of ANZIBA (Australia and New Zealand International Business Academy.
