Michael Sawyer is an Associate Professor in the Department of Oncology at the University of Alberta. He received both his BSc in pharmacy and his MD from the University of Toronto. His research focuses on the pharmacology of anticancer drugs and he is trying to understand causes of interpatient variability... read morein terms of toxicity and efficacy. His major interest is understanding mechanisms of nephrotoxicity of chemotherapy especially antifolates and nucleoside analogues.
