Biography

Dr. Wendy Chung is a clinical and molecular geneticist and tenured professor of pediatrics and medicine at Columbia University. She conducts human genetic research and directs NIH-funded programmes investigating the genetic basis of conditions including obesity, diabetes, breast cancer, cardiomyopathies, pulmonary hypertension, autism, and birth defects. Dr. Chung has received numerous awards for her contributions to biomedical research, teaching, and mentoring and is a member of the National Academy of Medicine.
