Pier Paolo D'Avino is a Lecturer in Cell Biology at the Department of Pathology of the University of Cambridge, UK. His lab uses the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster and mammalian tissue culture cells to dissect the mechanisms and signaling pathways that control cytokinesis and cell division in eukaryotes.
