Dr. McMahan completed her medical training at UTHealth Houston and the University of Texas Southwestern, followed by a rheumatology fellowship and Master of Health Sciences at Johns Hopkins University. Her clinical and research expertise focuses on systemic sclerosis, particularly gastrointestinal complications, and she has published over 60 articles. She co-leads gastrointestinal working groups for international scleroderma organisations and serves as Chair of the American College of Rheumatology’s Committee on Finance.
