Yat Ming Ooi is a Senior Lecturer in Innovation Management at the Department of Management and International Business, University of Auckland. He serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Research-Technology Management, and Associate Editor of Journal of Innovation Management. His research examines how organisations and researchers access, govern, and leverage external knowledge... read morefor commercial and societal value. Specifically, he focuses on understanding the mechanisms such as organisational structures, governance arrangements, and collaborative processes, that enable external knowledge utilisation. Yat Ming's work spans three inter-related domains of technology commercialisation, innovation ecosystems and responsible innovation, and research impact and policy. He is also passionate about creating impact from research beyond academia and co-leads the Frontiers of Impact Special Interest Group at the International Society for Professional Innovation Management (ISPIM).
