Nick developed his grounding in the media and advertising world spending his early years in the media departments of three full service advertising agencies: Benton and Bowles, Allen Brady and Marsh and Leagas Delaney. Nick saw the development of sports marketing in the 1980s and in 1986 became a director... read moreof a sports marketing and personality management company, before founding and pioneering a sponsorship division within J Walter Thompson in 1990 to take advantage of the new opportunities created in program sponsorship as a result of the 1990 Broadcast Act. In 1998 MindShare was formed in UK and the sponsorship business moved across with Nick who became Managing Director of MindShare UK’s sponsorship division, Performance. In January 2007 Nick was promoted to Chief Operating Officer of MindShare Performance, Europe, to help in the development of international business. Nick has been a member of the IPA Sponsorship Group since program sponsorship emerged in the UK.
