His research activities are focused mainly on the study of food samples by using advanced gas chromatography processes, in particular, multidimensional gas chromatography systems, combined with various forms of mass spectrometry. Specifically, he has performed a great deal of research work in the field of classical multidimensional gas chromatography, multidimensional liquid-gas chromatography, and comprehensive 2D gas chromatography.
