This case study examines Ikea’s success in minimising ‘family barriers’ when attracting shoppers. Providing for children is an integral part of Ikea’s service and many of the retailer’s global stores have child friendly food and play areas. Making the shopping experience easier for families has directly led to an increase in demand at Ikea.
