For the last 15 years, I have been helping healthcare and life science companies in areas like operations and strategic dynamic capabilities. I'm affiliated as a researcher at ISCTE University of Lisbon in Portugal, and I'm a partner in a company called DCOPI that is the Dynamic Capabilities Operational Institute in Switzerland that focus research areas around strategic innovation, dynamic capabilities training, and operational excellence.

This talk is going to detail some of the factors and the dimensions of why technology most of the times gets the spotlight. But the culture and the leadership decides the ending. According to recent research, 75% of business leaders now treat ESG metrics, mainly in Europe, as a strategic critical component. By 2026, three-quarters of organizations will have new innovations on cloud to reach exactly those metrics. So 90% of the budget from those organizations goes to tools, systems but not to people. Now, with this talk, we are going to prove why that imbalance really must flip and why we can engineer different solutions for the future. With that initial context, let's go a little bit deeper in terms of how visionary leadership can anchor sustainable data governance outcomes into the areas of ESG, and also combine key areas or key dimensions like culture and leadership.
