Julian Whitelegge attended the University of London Westfield College and obtained a BSc in Marine and Freshwater Biology in 1984 before going on to earn his PhD at the University of London Imperial College in 1989. He now studies as Professor in the Jane and Terry Semel Institute of Neuroscience... read moreand Human Behavior at the David Geffen School of Medicine, University of California Los Angeles where he directs proteomics work in the Pasarow Mass Spectrometry Laboratory. He possesses expertise in biochemistry of membrane proteins and their analysis using mass spectrometry. He is particularly interested in studying novel post-translational modifications in intact membrane proteins of human brain.
