Rodolfo Rey, MD, PhD is the Director of the CEDIE (the Spanish acronym for Endocrine Research Centre www.cedie.org.ar), a translational research institute located in Buenos Aires Children’s Hospital, supported by CONICET (the National Scientific and Technical Research Council https://www.conicet.gov.ar/?lan=en). He graduated as MD from the University of Rosario (Argentina) and obtained his PhD from the University of Buenos Aires, before spending several years studying the endocrine aspects of congenital intersex conditions at the Ecole Normale Supérieure and INSERM in Paris. He trained in Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology in Buenos Aires at the Ricardo Gutiérrez Children’s Hospital. His research interests are the basic, translational and clinical aspects of the physiology and pathophysiology of the gonadal axis from early fetal life through puberty.
