Prof. John Reeves University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, USA

John Reeves received his PhD in biology from MIT in 1969 and did postdoctoral training in the laboratories of Drs. Wayne Umbreit and Ronald Kaback. He held positions at Allen University, Columbia SC (1969-79), University of Texas Southwestern Medical School (1973-82), the Roche Institute of Molecular Biology (1982-93) and New... read moreJersey Medical School (1993-retirement). He had a long-standing interest in carrier mediated transport, with special emphasis on Na/Ca exchange. He published over 130 papers, and was inducted into the Stuart Cook Master Educators Guild in recognition of his contribution to teaching and curriculum development. He passed away on November 19th 2013. He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and his sisters.
