Dr. Giuseppe Ficarra qualified in Medicine at the U. of Padua in 1977 and trained in Medical Oncology at the National Cancer Institute in Milan. He has been visiting professor and lecturer in several worldwide institutions. His main research interests have been in oral infections, HIV infection, vesiculo-erosive diseases, soft tissues pathology, odontogenic tumors and bone diseases. Dr. Ficarra has published over 180 articles in dental and medical journals and is author of the textbook “Manual of Oral Pathology and Medicine”, MacGraw-Hill, Milan 3rd (2006). He has served as reviewer for Journals such as Oral Diseases, Oral Oncology, J Oral Pathology, Head Neck Pathology, etc.
