Scott Baldwin is the head of eBay’s Global Business Continuity program, and the primary architect of its design, development and implementation following eBay’s split from PayPal, where the legacy corporate Resiliency group ended up. Before managing the global BC program, Scott managed the Resiliency Tools group as well as working as the regional BC manager for Asia/Pacific.
Previous to eBay, Mr. Baldwin worked in the financial industry as Sr. Manager, Business Continuity for Charles Schwab and as a Disaster Recovery analyst for a large grocery store chain, Safeway, where he learned supply chain resiliency practices.
Prior to working in Resiliency, Scott spent the previous 10 years as a software engineer, working with a dozen start-ups, none of which survived the dot-com collapse of the early 2000s.
Mr. Baldwin attended Brigham Young University where he studied Computer Science, and is certified by both the Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII) and The Business Continuity Institute (BCI).
He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and 4 children.
