Tony Goldstone is PI and Head of the PsychoNeuroEndocrinology Research Group, in the Centre for Neuropsychopharmacology, Division of Psychiatry, and Computational, Cognitive and Clinical Neuroimaging Laboratory, Department of Brain Sciences, Faculty of Medicine at Imperial College London, based at the Hammersmith Hospital, London, UK. His clinical experimental medicine research uses multi-modal phenotyping, including functional neuroimaging, to examine body-brain interactions in the regulation of eating and addictive behaviours, with interventional studies including appetitive gut hormone administration and bariatric surgery. He works clinically as a Consultant Adult Endocrinologist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, London, with include specialist clinics for patients with genetic obesity, including Prader-Willi syndrome, and pituitary dysfunction after traumatic brain injury. He is involved in several clinical trials of novel drug therapies for hyperphagia and weight loss in PWS and genetic obesity.
