Dr. Barber pursued undergraduate training at Cambridge University, UK and qualified as a doctor in 1998. He has published in excess of 50 papers in leading scientific journals, including a recent publication in the New England Journal of Medicine. Whilst at OCDEM (Oxford, UK), he pursued research on the pathogenesis... read moreand genetics of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, which led to the award of a DPhil from the University of Oxford. This work also led to him being awarded the prestigious Society for Endocrinology Clinical Prize Lecture. Dr. Barber currently leads research on human metabolism on the Human Metabolism Research Unit, and also leads the Obesity service at UHCW.
