Biography

Dr. Aldag is the Glen A. Skillrud Family Chair in Business at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he also serves on the University Academic Planning Council. He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, M.B.A. in Production Management, and Ph.D. in Management, all from Michigan State University. He was a thermal... read moreengineer on early Apollo and Voyager projects. He has 45 years of teaching experience and has served on 90+ Ph.D. thesis committees.
Dr. Aldag has published more than 85 journal articles and book chapters and is co-author of nine books, including Organizational Behavior: A Skills-Based Approach and Creating High Performance Teams. He serves on the Editorial Review Boards of the Academy of Management Review, Administrative Science Quarterly, Journal of Applied Psychology, and Organization and Environment. He is Editor of the Henry Stewart Talks Organizational Behavior Video Series and Editor-in-Chief for the forthcoming Oxford Research Encyclopedia in Business and Management. He was the 1991-1992 President of the Academy of Management, a professional organization with more than 20,000 members in 101 countries, and served from 2005-2008 as Dean of the Academy’s honorary society. He has extensive consulting experience.
