Prof. Gian Luca Salvagno, an Italian clinician-scientist, obtained his MD in 2002, specialised in Clinical Biochemistry and Laboratory Medicine in 2007, and earned a PhD in Clinical and Experimental Medical Sciences in 2015. With over 400 peer-reviewed publications to his credit and an h-index reflecting high impact in his field, his research spans pre-analytical variability, analytic method development (including liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry), immunometry, and novel biomarker discovery for oncologic, cardiovascular, and hemostatic disorders.
