Edward Morgan was born in Millport, Isle of Cumbrae, Scotland, in 1954. He received a BSc (Hon) in Pharmacology from the University of Glasgow in 1976, and a PhD in Pharmacology from the same institution in 1979. Coon, and then to the Department of Medical Nutrition at the Karolinska Institutet in 1982 as a Visiting Scientist Fellow with Dr. Jan-Ake Gustafsson. In 1986, he accepted a faculty position at Emory University, where he is now Professor of Pharmacology. Dr. Morgan is currently the Editor of Drug Metabolism and Disposition, and is a past Associate Editor of Molecular Pharmacology. Is a fromer Secretary-Treasurer of the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, and former Chair of the Drug Metabolism Division of that Society.
