Jeffrey Hansen is a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Colorado State University. He obtained his PhD in biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1986, and was an NIH postdoctoral fellow at Oregon State University from 1987-1990. Over the last decade he has helped pioneer the use of analytical ultracentrifugation for studying complex macromolecular assemblages in solution. His research program focuses on biochemical and biophysical characterization of genome architecture.
