Alastair Compston is Professor of Neurology and Head of the Department of Clinical Neurosciences at the University of Cambridge. He is the author of over 450 publications and, with colleagues, writes McAlpine's Multiple Sclerosis. Professor Compston received the Sobek Foundation International Research Prize in 2002. He is currently Editor of the journal Brain.
