Helen L. Henry received her BS (1965) and PhD (1970) in biology at Washington University in St. Louis. Following postdoctoral experience at Ohio State University and the University of California, Riverside, she joined the faculty there in 1978. Throughout her career she published extensively on the regulation of the synthesis of the steroid hormone, 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D2. She retired in 2008, but continued to be active in teaching and in administrative positions up to the last few months of her life. She sadly passed away on May, 19th 2018.
