Biography

Dr. Sophia Lunt received her Ph.D. from Princeton University in 2010 and completed her postdoctoral work at MIT. Her laboratory at Michigan State University focuses on understanding the role of metabolism in supporting cancer proliferation, heterogeneity, and metastasis as well as improving photodynamic therapy. Dr. Lunt and her team combine mass spectrometry, cell biology, luminescent agents, and genetic models of cancer to investigate this complex disease and develop new therapeutics.
