Ben Schuler studied biochemistry in Regensburg (Germany) and Canterbury (UK), and received his PhD in physical biochemistry from Regensburg University. He joined the Biochemistry Institute at Zurich University in 2004 as Assistant Professor where he is working on the folding and misfolding of proteins, with a close combination of biochemical and spectroscopic methods, particularly single molecule fluorescence.
