Biography

Dr. Steinbock lectures as a Distinguished Professor at the Swiss Hotel
Management School in Leysin, Switzerland. Additionally, he manages his consultant

Previously he served as the Regional Vice President and Managing Director of
Rosewood Hotels & Resorts in Saudi Arabia, and as an Area Managing Director at the
Carlyle Hotel in New York City.

Erich spent much of his career at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, including as
General Manager at several properties and as the Global Vice President of Food &
Beverage.

After obtaining his MBA at the City University of Seattle and continuing his
career in hospitality, Erich earned a Ph.D. at Iowa State University with his
dissertation, Emotional intelligence competencies for success in early hospitality
careers. He applies the results of his continuous research in emotional intelligence
and the science of well-being in academia and the hospitality industry. Participants
savor his seminars and workshops in English and German, where Erich uses validated
tools and exercises that enhance operational performance.
