In 2010, Andrew moved to France for his postgraduate research at the Interdisciplinary Institute for Neurosciences (IINs, University of Bordeaux II) in the lab of director Daniel Choquet, funded by EMBO long-term and Marie Curie FP7 IEF postdoctoral fellowships. In 2015, Andrew was awarded an MRC Career Development Award to start his independent research at the University of Sussex, UK in 2021. Andrew is now a lecturer and researcher in the Neuroscience department and is a member of Sussex Neuroscience and the Sussex Centre for Sensory Neuroscience and Computation. His research interests lie in glutamate receptor ion channels and the roles that they play at excitatory synapses in health and disease.
