Here, he investigated the function of regulatory RNAs in T helper lymphocytes in the context of autoimmune diseases. In 2016, Mir-Farzin Mashreghi became an independent group leader at the DRFZ heading the group “Therapeutic Gene Regulation”. The aim of his group is the development of novel remission-inducing therapies for patients with autoimmune diseases based on antisense-oligonucleotides.
