In 2006 he was elected to the Professorship of Pharmacology in the University of Oxford and is currently Head of Department. Professor Galione's principal research interest has been the regulation of intracellular calcium signaling by cyclic ADPribose and NAADP, emerging intracellular messengers for calcium mobilization.
