Dr. Maral Mahdad Wageningen University and Research, The Netherlands

Maral Mahdad is an assistant professor of innovation and entrepreneurship at Wageningen University and Research at the Business Management and Organization chair group. Currently, she co-leads EU H2020 project CO-FRESH "Co-creating sustainable and competitive fruits and vegetables value chains in Europe" (2020-2024). She currently is associate program chair of the World Open Innovation Conference and minor coordination of innovation and entrepreneurship at Wageningen University and Research. She obtained her Ph.D. (cum laude) in Management at Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, in Italy. Her research activities focus on innovation management, open innovation, university-industry collaborations and ecosystems. She worked on various European Projects as a researcher during her career and she was involved in both academic research activities and consulting in the meanwhile. Her research has been published in academic journals such as Technovation, Industry and Innovation, and Journal of Business Research.
