Dr. Katia Koelle is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology at Emory University. Her research program relies on the use of quantitative approaches, including mathematical and computational modeling, as well as phylogenetic and statistical analysis of viral sequence data. One main research question that her group has targeted focuses on the role that rapid evolutionary changes of viral pathogens play in driving patterns of disease spread through human populations.
