He has over 3 decades of clinical care and research in acute renal failure, renal replacement therapy and in solid organ transplantation in children. He has pioneered some of the original work in Hemodialysis and CRRT in children and has been the program organizer and director of the International Conference on Pediatric Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy for over two decades (see web site www.pcrrt.com).

He has over 170 publications, 40 book chapters and Editor of Books and has been an invited speaker throughout the world. He is a member of ASN, ISN, ASPN, SCCM, and ESPNIC. He in on the editorial board of Pediatric Nephrology and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and reviews for 40 other journals.
