Henry Jay Forman is a Senior Professor of Biochemistry and Chemistry at the newest campus of the University of California. He received his undergraduate training at Queens College, NY and his PhD at Columbia University. He has been a faculty member of departments of biochemistry, physiology, pediatrics, molecular pharmacology and... read moretoxicology, pathology and was Chair of environmental health sciences at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. His research interests have been in the general area of free radical biology, particularly on adaptation to oxidative stress. Henry's focus for the past decade has been on signal transduction mediated by hydrogen peroxide and lipid peroxidation derived electrophiles.
