Rina Meidan is a professor of Reproductive Endocrinology at the Department of Animal Sciences at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Professor Meidan’s research interests are the mechanisms controlling the demise or maintenance of the corpus luteum, the role of hypoxia in luteal formation, and the luteal functions of interferon Tau.

She has published over 100 papers on the subjects of the Ovary, Corpus Luteum, Hypoxia, Angiogenesis, Luteolysis, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome(PCOS), and Pregnancy Associated Signals.

She is a Member of Study section for grant reviews for Israel Academy of Sciences (ISF; Endocrinology and metabolism) and the BARD US-Israel Agricultural Research and Development Fund. She is also a member of the Israeli Society of Endocrinology, and a past member of the Israeli Fertility Association.
