Gil Mor, M.D., Ph.D. is the John M Malone Jr, Endowed Chair, Director of the Mott Center for Human Development, and Vice Chair Research Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Wayne State University. In his research he examines topics related to the immunology of pregnancy and the role of inflammation in cancer formation and progression. Dr. Mor is funded by grants from National Institute of Child Health Development (NICHD), National Cancer Institute (NCI) and National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) as well as by several pharmaceutical companies and is widely published in the area of immunology and reproduction with more than 280 publications and is the editor of a three books on “Immunology of pregnancy” and “Apoptosis and Cancer”.

Dr. Mor has been the Editor in Chief of the American Journal of Reproductive Immunology since September 2009 and is recipient of several national and international prizes, including the J. Christian Herr Award- and the AJRI Award from the Society for Reproductive Immunology.

Dr. Mor is a member of the American Association for Cancer Research, the Society for Gynecologic Investigation, American Association of Immunologist and the American Society of Reproductive Immunology. He is also Member of the International Advisory Committee for the Sino-American Center of Translational Medicine.
