Ian Wilkinson attended the University of Nottingham and obtained a BSc in Biochemistry and Genetics before proceeding to obtain an MSc in Applied Biomolecular Technology. From there he went on to earn his PhD at the University of Leicester in 2009 working in collaboration with the pharmaceutical company UCB on... read morethe structural characterization of antibody fragments. From there he moved to MedImmune, the biologics arm of the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca, to pursue work in antibody and protein engineering and development. In 2012, Ian moved to Absolute Antibody, a startup company developing a catalogue of recombinant antibodies and offering antibody sequencing, expression and engineering services to the bio-pharma market. He possesses expertise in the early stage research and development of biological therapeutics with a particular interest in antibody engineering.
