Dr Elaine Maxwell is a registered nurse who specialised in haematology and intensive care nursing. She later qualified as a Health Visitor and worked in the community. She completed her PhD on creating workplace jurisdiction for new roles before moving into an academic role. Elaine is currently an Associate Professor, teaching Leadership and Service Improvement at London South Bank University. Elaine is also a Non-Executive Director at Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
