After obtaining her B.S. and M.Phil. in molecular biotechnology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Dr. Chiao completed her Ph.D. in biochemistry at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2011. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Pathology at University of Washington... read morein Dr. Rabinovitch’s lab. Her research focuses on identification and characterization of interventions for cardiac aging, in particular determination of the mechanism of cardiac aging reversal by rapamycin and mitochondrial protective SS-31 peptides. She was supported by an Ellison/AFAR Postdoctoral Fellowship and a Glenn/AFAR Postdoctoral Fellowship for Translational Research on Aging.
