Her research interests are the genomics of rare developmental conditions, particularly those affecting the eye. Currently, Rachel’s work focusses on the identification of novel causes of inherited retinal disease and congenital eye anomalies using advanced sequencing technologies and bioinformatics, and the investigation of suspected pathogenic genetic variants using in vivo and in vitro expression analysis systems.
