Molly A. Taylor is a Senior Scientist at AstraZeneca in Alderley Park, UK. She received her B.A. in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from the University of Colorado, Boulder where she worked with Leslie Leinwand studying the affect of diet and body composition on cardiac fibrosis. After which, she spent... read moretwo years working with Rebecca O’Brien defining the role of gamma-delta T-cell subsets in immune response to infection. She went on to obtain her PhD from Case Western Reserve University, in the laboratory of William P. Schiemann, where she investigated the role of the tumor microenvironment and microRNA expression on TGF-beta-mediated breast cancer progression. After completing her PhD, she joined the AstraZeneca postdoc programme where she has been investigating the use of microRNAs as biomarkers of intrinsic and acquired resistance. Taylor is currently a Senior Scientist in the molecular profiling group at AstraZeneca; her current interests focus on defining tumor gene expression profiles in response to cancer therapies.
